Kelley Woodfin RN, BS, DFASHRM, CPHRM
Chief Executive Officer
Office Ext. 44, Office Locations: Sandy

I have lived in Sandy, Utah with my husband, two daughters and their husbands and children since 2006, having moved from Southern California. I received the Lord as a teenager at a Billy Graham out-reach, and was involved in the Vineyard Christian Ministries for many years, serving on Worship Teams and prayer ministry, and also I was also able to serve on a medical mission trip to Guatemala with Youth With A Mission and a mission trip to China, Hong Kong, and the Philippines with my church.

Clinically, I have a background in acute, managed, and long term health care, and am a strong advocate for mental health parity for all age groups. I worked in LA County and city emergency services for many years, establishing paramedic programs, serving as a representative of the Emergency Nurses Association on the LA County Commission on Emergency Services, and chairing the Commission’s Psychiatric Emergency Services Task Force for 5 years. I also was able to establish protocols for emergency departments and paramedics to use in managing abused children and adults, critically ill children, sexual assaults, and suicide attempts, and I was an integral part of establishing the Santa Monica Hospital Rape Treatment Center. As the clinical instructor for the Level-Three Trauma Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, I worked with on-site psychiatric nurses to triage acute psychiatric illnesses and provide education for the emergency services staff and the emergency services community-at-large related to the assessment and management of psychiatric crises.

Most recently, I served in the capacity of Risk Management consultant for 7 faith-based, not-for-profit long term care organizations. I hold the American Hospital Society credential of Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM) and was recently designated as Distinguished Fellow of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (DFASHRM). Recently I authored a chapter on Home Health Care Risk Management in the ASHRM Risk Management Handbook, which is now in its sixth edition publication.

I continue to serve the Lord Jesus Christ with my entire family in the Adventure Church in Draper, Utah and in my surrounding community. I am grateful that we all love and serve our Lord Jesus Christ to further the gospel of hope, healing, and restoration.

As CEO for Shepherd’s Staff Christian Counseling Center, I work with the clinical and administrative team to maximize the Center’s visibility in the community and in area churches, and to provide community-based opportunities for our talented clinical staff to reach a greater number of people in need of our services.
